What’s new in Credentik

The latest improvements to credentialing, billing and client work in Credentik, newest first. Everything listed here is live for customers today.

Revenue cycle features (claims, patient payments and team productivity) are included on the Agency and Growth plans; see pricing. For how-tos, visit the Help center.

Billing

Patient payments go to each practice’s own Stripe account

Payment for care belongs to the practice, so patient payment links, installment links and payment plan reminders now pay into the practice’s own Stripe account, not the agency’s. Your agency is paid through its client invoices, as before.

  • Connect a practice’s Stripe account from its billing settings, or let the practice connect it from its own client portal.
  • Patients can pay by card once that practice’s Stripe account is connected.
  • If you collect patient payments for a practice under a written agreement, an owner or admin can choose your agency’s account for that practice instead; the choice is recorded in the audit log.
  • Links already sent on your agency’s account keep working.
Credentialing

Denied card with appeal deadline, plus Appealed and Resubmitted statuses

When a payer denies an application, a Denied card on the application keeps everything in one place: the denial date and reason, the payer’s reference number, the denial letter and who recorded it.

  • Set the appeal deadline yourself. It starts 30 days after the denial date as a suggestion; always check the payer’s own deadline.
  • Decide what happens next: appeal (a task is created, due on the deadline), withdraw, or reapply.
  • Two new statuses follow the application after a denial: Appealed (sent to the payer, waiting for a decision) and Resubmitted. The outcome (overturned, appeal denied, approved after resubmission) is kept as history.
  • Changing an application to Denied now asks for the reason, and the denial email links straight to the card.

Billing

Monthly client reports

Give every client practice a monthly report of what you did for it: claims and payments, denials, A/R, payer mix, providers, credentialing progress and your fee for the month.

  • Review a draft, finalize it, and a branded PDF is saved for that month.
  • Send it with a “Your report is ready” email that contains no patient information: clients open it in their client portal, or through a secure link that expires after 30 days.
  • Turn on scheduled delivery per client to have the report drafted, or drafted and sent, on the day of the month you choose.
  • Tiles show “Not enough data” with the reason instead of a misleading number when a month is too thin to measure.
Billing

Patient payment plans, and patient payments posted to claims

A patient payment made through a payment link now posts to the patient’s claims automatically, oldest first, and updates their statements. Overpayments are kept as patient credit, and refunds reverse the posting.

  • Set up a payment plan for a patient: installment reminders go out on schedule, late and missed payments are flagged, and statements on a plan stay out of collections.
  • Patients can pay by card once the practice’s Stripe account is connected.
Credentialing

After-approval tracker

Approval is not the finish line. Every approved application now gets an After approval step tracker, so you can see what still stands between the approval and the first payment.

  • Steps: signed contract, effective date confirmed in writing, roster, EFT, ERA, EDI and payer portal enrollment, first accepted claim and first payment from the payer.
  • The first accepted claim and first payment are checked off automatically when they arrive.
  • Each step has a due date, and overdue steps show up in your team’s work queue.

Billing

Team productivity

See the billing work each team member does, per day and in total: claims created, checked and submitted, claim status checks, payments posted, ERA files imported, denials worked and dollars recovered, payer follow-ups and work-queue actions.

  • Owners and admins see the whole team; staff see their own numbers.
  • Counts start from October 11, 2026.
Billing

Client invoicing

Bill your client practices for your own services from Credentik: monthly fees, per credentialing application, per provider, a percentage of collections, per claim or a retainer.

  • One invoice per client and month, generated from each client’s pricing, or create manual invoices.
  • Send invoices with the PDF attached; clients see them in their client portal.
  • Overdue invoices get reminders at 3, 7 and 14 days, and you can turn on automatic monthly invoicing per client.
  • Clients can pay by card once your agency’s Stripe account is connected; you can also record payments made by check or bank transfer.
