Everything that expires

One list of every date that matters

Credentik keeps each provider’s state licenses, DEA registrations, board certifications and malpractice coverage in their profile, with numbers, states and expiration dates. The compliance center shows what is current, expiring or missing across every provider and every client.

  • Expiration alerts for licenses, DEA, boards and malpractice
  • Expiring items in each person’s work queue
  • A document request to the provider for the renewed certificate
  • Malpractice limits checked against the minimums you set

Verification at the source

Licenses are verified against the state licensing board, the primary source, not only against the NPI registry.

  • Automatic board checks in Washington and Colorado, with Illinois and Connecticut next
  • Guided manual lookups for other states, with the result and evidence recorded
  • NPPES cross-check as a fallback
  • Re-checks when a board record changes
Why it matters

An expired license is a billing problem too

When a license lapses, enrollments that depend on it are at risk and claims can be denied. Because credentialing and billing share one workspace, the same record that drives the reminder also feeds the readiness score and the checks on outgoing claims.

Providers keep their own documents current

In the provider portal, providers update their profile and answer document requests themselves, so a renewal is a shared to-do instead of a surprise.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which states are verified automatically?
Licenses are checked against the state board automatically in Washington and Colorado, where the boards publish data Credentik can import; Illinois and Connecticut are next. For other states, Credentik gives your team a guided lookup: the right board, the link, and a place to record the result and attach the evidence.
What happens when a board record changes?
When an imported board record changes, for example a status change or new discipline, the licenses it matches are re-checked and anything that needs a person's attention is flagged for review.
Who gets the expiration reminders?
Your team sees upcoming expirations in the work queue and compliance center. Providers can be asked to upload the renewed document through a document request, by email (text messages to opted-in providers on the Agency and Growth plans are coming soon).
Does this replace primary source verification?
It is part of it. A board verification recorded here prefills the state license element on the provider's verification checklist, with the source and date.
