The Command Center is now part of the Dashboard. Links to the old Command Center open the Dashboard, where the ranked action items, KPIs and expiration risks described below now live. Screen names may differ slightly from this guide.

Trigger

It's the start of your workday. You want to know what changed overnight and what's at risk today before you do anything else.

Outcome

You've seen every alert above a meaningful dollar threshold, every overdue task, and every payer-status anomaly. You either acted on it, assigned it, or made a deliberate decision to defer.

Where

Steps

  1. Open Command Center. Items are ranked by dollar impact × deadline urgency. Read the top 10.
  2. For each top item, decide in 10 seconds: Act now, Assign to staff (use the assignee dropdown on the row), or Defer with a note (right-click → snooze).
  3. Switch to Dashboard. Glance at:
    • Credentialed % of applications — if it dropped, something stalled in payer enrollment
    • Estimated monthly revenue — compare to last week's number
    • License expirations ≤30d — if any provider's primary license is in here, escalate to your credentialing coordinator immediately
  4. Open Denial Inbox. If your RCM specialist has already cleared the AUTO-APPEALABLE bucket, move on. If not, ping them with a deadline.
  5. Close the loop: send a 3-bullet Slack/email summary to your team — top priority for the day, anyone blocked, any client at risk.

Watch-outs

  • Dollar amount can mislead. A $4K Aetna denial that's auto-appealable is less urgent than a $400 first-time Medicaid denial for a NEW patient — the latter signals a credentialing or enrollment gap that will repeat for every future claim. Look at PAYER PATTERNS, not just dollars.
  • Command Center deduplicates by entity. If one claim has both a denial AND an overdue followup, you'll see one row. Don't assume row count = work count.
  • Snooze is local to the row, not the underlying record. If you snooze a denial in Command Center, the denial is still open on the Denials tab. Don't snooze something you needed to escalate.
